Sitting in silence is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. Watch your thoughts pass by, like clouds in the sky, unattached and only observing.
Meditation helps us in so many ways, its a wonder it isn’t as integral to everyone’s life as breakfast is.
It helps us decompress our mind and allow all the excessive thoughts and noise to settle and fall away, revealing a deep peace that’s always there. With a deep meditation practice, you can reach states that you might have experienced in ceremony, and will allow you to reach even deeper states the next time you participate.
Furthermore, meditation cultivates a heightened sense of awareness and presence, allowing you to navigate daily life with greater clarity and calm. Through regular meditation, you can develop a deeper connection with your inner self, fostering emotional resilience and mental clarity. This inner stillness becomes a sanctuary, a place where you can retreat to amidst the chaos of the outside world.
Meditation enhances your capacity for compassion and empathy, not only towards others but also towards yourself. It opens the door to self-acceptance and understanding, creating a foundation for healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life. As you continue to sit in silence, you may find that the benefits extend far beyond the meditation session, permeating every aspect of your existence with a sense of harmony and balance.

Sit and meditate at least once a day for 15-30 minutes, ideally you take this challenge to do it for the next 21 days after connecting with the grandmother.
There are many tools online to help you if you are just beginning this practice, included guided meditations as well as guidelines for how to build your own practice. In general, it involves sitting comfortably, silently, and undisturbed (no distractions) with your eyes closed for at least 10 minutes.
Learn to relax deeper and deeper. I suggest the practice of Yoga Nidra for this and you can find many videos for free online. Practice it daily for a while and then you can learn how to relax in your physical body, which will lead your mental/emotional body to relax as well.
